Strong soil resistant Whitman albums with blue textured leatherette cover are designed with thumb notches for easy window removal. Designer John R. Sinnock created Franklin’s likeness for the obverse and the Liberty Bell for the reverse. Due to a legal requirement to show an eagle on all half dollar coins a small eagle was engraved next to the Liberty Bell. Franklin half dollars are made of 90% silver and 10% copper. They measure 30.6 mm in diameter each weighing 12.50 grams. Franklin half dollars were coined at the Philadelphia Denver and San Francisco Mints. This album includes 3 pages and holds all of the business strike Franklin Half Dollars from 1948 to 1963
Whitman albums feature two posts within the blue leatherette binder to hold the pages in place
Clear plastic slides within each page ensure secure storage and allow for viewing of both sides of the coins with thumb notch for easy removal
