Description
Eisenhower Ike Dollar is a One Dollar coin issued by the United States Mint from 1971 to 1978. It was the first one dollar coin issued by the United States Mint since the Peace Dollar series ended in 1935. The Obverse side features General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The Reverse Side shows an Eagle clutching olive branch landing on the Moon. Both its obverse and reverse were designed by Frank Gasparro. Bicentennial Eisenhower Ike Dollars were minted in 1975 and 1976 and have the Bicentennial double date of 1776 1976 on the Obverse.
